Bibles for Inmates
Inmates, mostly in prisons located in West Virginia and North Carolina, write us letters requesting a Bible. In 2012 we sent 325 inmates a Celebrate Recovery Bible. In 2013 as of November 1st we've sent 366.
GEMS is our ministry to those 55 and over and their spouses. It includes Ruby Roadrunners who take day trips together (Contact Keith or Connie Zorger, email@example.com), Sapphires who meet monthly for Bible study (Contact Paul Anderson, 991-2185), Diamonds who meet together for food, fellowship and various activities (Call Nancy Hartman at 545-2201), and Opals who are widows/widowers who meet monthly for a luncheon (Call Tweet Shannon at 651-0788).
The Men's Breakfast meets the first and third Saturdays of each month beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the church kitchen. All men and boys 14 and older are invited. A Bible study follows the breakfast and concludes by 9:00 a.m. Attendance usually runs 25-35. The food is great and the Bible study is even better!
