Sunday SchoolAdult Sunday school is one of Swatara's strengths. We have adult classes, a High School/Middle School class, a class for elementary children and a nursery. Sunday school runs from 9:00- 10:00 a.m.
We also have a Children's Church and nursery during the 10:15 a.m. morning worship service. |
CommunityThe church facilities are a meeting place for New Generation Ministry, Inc. (Hispanic congregation), Christ Fellowship Prayer Tabernacle (Exacting Truth Ministries), The Samuel School (a Christian school for student Pre-K through grade 12), YouthWorks mission teams during seven weeks each summer, Girl Scouts, Narcotics Anonymous, a UGI retirees group, and TE Volleyball group. We are also a polling place for our community.

MissionsThe church supports Bethesda Mission; Camp YoliJwa; Fruitbelt Farmworker Christian Ministry; David and Deanna Anderson with Wycliffe; Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Ministry; Steve and Amy Hosler, Hope Club, Niagara Falls; Central Pennsylvania Food Bank; Pastors Caleb and Christina Acosta, Church of God missionaries serving Latino across the world; Christian Churches United Homeless Outreach effort; Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association; Gemma's Angels; Nehemiah Vision Ministry Malnutrition Program - Haiti; Salvation Army of Harrisburg - Children and Youth Program; and many other local mnistries.
Men's MinistryThe Men's Breakfast meets the first and third Saturdays of each month beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the church kitchen. All men and boys 14 and older are invited. A Bible study follows the breakfast and concludes by 9:00 a.m. Attendance usually runs 30-40. The food is great and the Bible study is even better!

GEMS MinistryGEMS is our ministry to those 55 and over and their spouses. It includes Ruby Roadrunners who take day trips together (Contact Keith or Connie Zorger, kczorg@aol.com), Diamond Diners who meet together for food, fellowship and various activities (Call Nancy Hartman at 717-545-2201).
