Our Worship

At the Swatara Church of God when we come together as a community to worship, we want more than stuffy religion or mindless entertainment. We want a place where we can experience something real, something authentic. We want a place where we can truly experience God.

In order to make this happen our worship is grounded in the historic traditions of the Christian Church that value mystery and revelation, individuals and community, prayer and faithfulness to God’s Word. And at the same time, because we want our worship to be God-directed and in conversation with Him, we are always listening to how He wants us to proceed and express ourselves to Him, which may mean incorporating our own gifts in new ways as we worship. By staying open in this way, we hope to stay both rooted and relevant.

Our worship is blended, combining  elements of traditional and contemporary styles.  You will always hear the Word of God shared in a way that touches your head and heart and enriches your life. We are real people seeking a real God who desires to really meet us here and promises to send us out with a blessing.
